This week, we considered the fact that although underlying rational structures are the same regardless of gender or culture, there may be strong age, gender, or culture factors that affect how we employ reason and what we privilege in our reasoning process.
In your initial post, complete the following:
- Give an example of how age, gender, or culture might affect work place problem solving focusing on potentially different forms of reasoning. You can create an example, give a personal experience, or find a credible example in the media.Explain how the skills you have gained in this course could help you solve this problem and display your competence in different forms of reasoning.

Learning how to be metacognitive – how to think about thinking – is an important part of our ability to reflect on our own performance and identify strengths and weaknesses so that we can improve our performance in the future. The goal is to develop successful learning and work habits that will transfer into new situations successfully. For your final reflection, think about the approach and strategies you used in our course. Consider what worked well and what you might do differently in the future. Include the following in your response:
- State which part of this course you found most difficult and what did you do to overcome it.
- Explain how this strategy can help you the next time you have a difficult problem in your academic or professional life.
- What advice would you give to a student taking this class next semester?
PART C (HTH301) 150 words
We have considered patient-centered and value-based healthcare this week. For this discussion, let us focus on the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services efforts to reduce the time physicians spend on record-keeping and administrative tasks, thus, permitting them to focus more on patient care. From this week’s lecture on Meaningful Measures choose one of the 5 Meaningful Measure Areas: preventive care, management of chronic conditions, prevention, treatment, and management of mental health, prevention and treatment of opioid and substance use disorders, or risk-adjusted mortality.
