Six Nutrients Key Ideas
· We must choose foods that have the types of each nutrient that promote positive health effects instead of those than can cause negative ones (ex. choosing foods with unsaturated fats over saturated or trans fats for heart health).
· Many foods can supply more than one nutrient (ex. Cheese can provide protein but is also quite high in fat as well as the mineral calcium.)
