Research Paper
This research paper stems from the research question you were given at the beginning of the term, and is your opportunity to showcase the statistical analysis tools you have learned over the course of the term.
You will write a 7-10 page (1,750-2,500 words) research-based paper in current Turabian format that focuses on your assigned public policy research question. You must include at least 8 references in addition to the course textbooks and the Bible (your annotated bibliography should be a helpful resource for this). Your paper must also use the datasets provided in the course, along with appropriate SPSS output, included as figures or tables, to answer your research question.
Please address all of the following questions and concepts as they relate to your research question:
1. Discuss the history and current state of the peer-reviewed, academic literature as it relates to your own research question.
· This is essentially a literature review discussing the major findings of all of the recent research. Your annotated bibliography will be a great help here.
2. Present your research question and your hypothesis. Explain the methodological approach you will take to answer your question and justify why it is the best approach to answering your question.
3. Present the findings of your statistical analysis.
· Insert figures and tables here, but be sure to provide a written explanation specifically referencing each figure or table.
4. Conclude by summarizing the answer to your research question and whether or not your hypothesis was supported. Present 2 potential questions for future research.
Assignment Specifics:
· 1,750-2,500 words, not including figures and tables
· Citations from at least 8 scholarly sources
· SPSS output and analysis must be included
· Address all of the questions and concepts listed above
This assignment is by 11:59pm (EST) on Sunday of Module/Week 7.
