(History in America is more about change than continuity. There are many things that have remained the same over the years but most of them have changed since the beginning of the United States. Change happens all the time, whether it’s inside or outside the United States. It is inevitable because times and technology are always changing and bringing new ideas to the nation. For the United States, one of the major changes that made history was the introduction/abolition of slavery. Both were major changes in US history through thick and thin. But we don’t have to stay on topic for a change. The shocking change that occurred in these times was the mentalities of the people. With the introduction of new religious ideas and laws such as the constitution, more segregation occurred between people of different classes and religions. Another massive change was the introduction of rights, suffrage, and work for America’s women. This change was a little out of date, but this was a huge change in a system that was once filled with only males controlling the workforce, voices, and controlling women’s rights. In summary, although many things have remained the same over time, it is the changes that have shaped the country into what it is today.)
