Alisha is a 21 year old college student who is pregnant. She and her partner were not planning to start a family at this time, but they are beginning to realize that they will soon be parents. Alisha is very concerned because her diet and her lifestyle have not been conducive to pregnancy the last several months. Her physician tells her she is 4 weeks pregnant. Alisha is 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 135 pounds and is moderately active 30 minutes each day. She has never smoked, but regularly consumes alcohol. Her blood pressure is 125/85 mm/hg.
