I need some assistance with Geology assignment along with a few questions. The instruction are attached.
Task 1: Choose a Topic
– My topic is Groundwater Contamination
Task 2: Write a Thesis Statement
– Provide an argument about the topic
This publication, you will provide an argument about the topic, relate that argument to ideas of
sustainability of Indiana’s environment, and support that argument with your research and
imagery.
First, do some online research and decide what sustainability means in terms of environmental
issues. Come up with your OWN definition; don’t copy anyone else’s definition.
– Take some time to research the topic you chose so that you can write a compelling and
convincing argument. Skim recent news and science articles online to get a good feel of the
issue and decide what stance you will take on the issue. Finally, write a thesis statement
that describes the environmental issue you chose, gives your argument, and relates the
problem to the definition of sustainability you developed.
Task 3: Research and Find Resources
– Research and integrate at least five (5) quality primary sources
– Properly cite in your text
Task 4: Create Publication (written)
Your final publication should summarize the issue, describe its importance both locally
(Indiana) and nationally (US), and analyze the issue and proposed solutions in terms of
sustainability of Indiana’s environment. Use the following writing prompts to help you
compose your essay.
A complete discussion and analysis of the problem: who, what, when, where and why?
An analysis of the relationship of the issue to ideas of sustainability of Indiana’s environment.
The science behind the issue including a discussion of how scientists are involved in this issue.
A look at what effort is currently being made to mitigate the problem and who is involved.
