Health Professional Shortage
Distinguish organizational strategies needed to implement and maintain the change plan.
2
The change plan can be implemented and maintained through the promotion of
recognition, structural empowerment, 2-way communication, and leader visibility. These
strategies are critical since they can lead to robust staff engagement. An organization has to
attract and maintain existing employees. Statistics indicate that a high number of health
professionals are working outside the field, and different existing interviews indicate that most
health professionals leave the industry due to a high burnout rate. The issue can be addressed
through leaders’ visibility since it entails connecting with team members and staff to maintain a
meaningful connection (George & Massey, 2020). The connection can help in building
organizational loyalty and improving retention rates. The next strategy is 2-way communication
between leaders and staff. The strategy is important since it will help establish staff engagement,
which will help maintain the plan. Lastly is recognition, which maintains and promotes a culture
of excellence.
Identify the stakeholders needed to support the implementation of the proposed plan.
Explain how these stakeholders are vital to implementing the change plan.
Stakeholders are influential in the success of a change plan. Therefore, the skills
employed to involve, consult and communicate with stakeholders determine the success of the
change initiatives. There are several influential powers held by stakeholders that can determine
the success of an initiative. Example of stakeholders involved in this process is nurses, nurse
leaders, government agency, shareholders, customers, and leaders. For nurses and nurse leaders,
increasing the number of health professionals will help reduce the burnout rate. This will also
help in increasing the quality of service provided. For government agencies, the influence is
based on compliance. Several policies have been implemented to increase the ratio of patients to
3
healthcare professionals. Shareholders can influence the change plan based on the sustainability
of the organization.
Summarize potential communication strategies to internal and external stakeholders to
facilitate a change plan.
The first strategy is identifying and profiling both internal and external stakeholders. This
will involve listing all people the company interacts with in daily operation. The process also
involves identifying whether the stakeholders have high or low interest in the change process.
The next step is establishing a goal for communication. This is important since it will help in
better shaping the change message. Examples of communication approaches to focus on include
raising awareness of the situation, providing information through reports, shaping stakeholders’
attitudes, and changing the misconception that stakeholders have about the change plan. The
third step is identifying a communication medium. It is important to ensure that the best format
for each interaction is selected. The fourth step is communicating the message concisely and
clearly. Consider what the audience currently understands. This involves evaluating knowledge
gaps that exist before they communicating officially. In some circumstances, recreating
information for stakeholders may waste time and hinder productivity. If the audience is already
aware of the circumstance, the corporation may focus on the ‘meat’ of the communication aim
and communicate the information more concisely.
Discuss the impact this change plan will have on the organization and its stakeholders.
The change will have different impacts on stakeholders. For existing health professionals,
the change plan will help in reducing workload. This will help in reducing burnout and turnover
rate. For customers, the change plan will improve their satisfaction rate. This is because they can
get better services, and the organization can become consumer-centric. Better services will lead
4
to higher customer retention. Therefore, the revenue generated will increase in the long run,
which will help in increasing business sustainability (Men, Chen & Ji, 2018). The organization’s
reputation will also improve due to better services and compliance.
Identify expected outcomes and potential barriers to implementing the change plan.
Change may be visible definitely or badly, relying on an individual’s stance. When there
are a few projected advantages from the transformation process, subordinates definitely see it.
Benefits may also consist of the chance for advancement, the possibility for invention and
creativity, and the purchase of the latest skills (George, Walker & Monster, 2019). Subordinates,
on the other hand, will see alternate adversely in the event they count on to undergo sure
expenses. For example, if they assume warfare and department due to the shift, downsizing is a
robust probability. If alternate strategists, managers, and supervisors assume making plans
troubles and likely bad results, they may adversely influence the endeavor. Furthermore, they
may understand adversely if they are expecting a loss of workforce engagement and an excessive
stage of resistance to alternate. Many good features of change in a company lead to maintaining
a competitive advantage and keeping relevant in your industry. Change stimulates creativity,
boosts worker morale, and develops skills. It also leads to improved commercial prospects.
Discuss steps for overcoming the potential barrier
Conducting a baseline evaluation is a high-quality manner for any corporation to pick out
capacity and modern-day extrude obstacles. Barriers will constantly create an opening among
recommended and gift practices so that you can sooner or later negatively affect the
organization’s daily manufacturing process. To keep away from this, it’s miles essential to pick
out the number one obstacles to extrude in addition to methods to keep away from them. It must
be easy to plot and put in force extrude after you apprehend how to conquer those obstacles. A
5
rigorous, quality and fairly a hit assignment and extrude control method can assist a commercial
enterprise ruin via this barrier. Employees are more invested in a cutting-edge method the longer
it’s been within the organization. The popularity quo is continually comfortable, resulting in a
variety of inertia within the workplace. Other culturally demanding situations emerge through
alternate implementation, such as inner politics, insufficient conduct management, and private
agendas, all of which contribute to an alternate-resistant culture. To get via this stumbling block,
alternate sellers must map out all the stakeholders who the alternate may torment. They must
focus on character transitions in addition to developing an alternate-pleasant workplace.

Healthcare professional shortage
Health professional shortages have continued to increase as one of the major challenges
in the medical area, preventing most organizations from fulfilling their objectives
Proposed solutions to solve on health professional shortage
A shift in change of plans
A shift in strategy for dealing with the problem will aid in improving medical treatment
in locations where health professionals are in limited supply.
The staff shortage may be addressed by effectively using and encouraging current
employees, which can be handled through low-cost methods such as improving hospital
administration.
Organizational resources that may be needed
Harnessing technology
The medical services industry is propelling its utilization of e-wellbeing and e-learning
procedures, AI, VR reproduction, and the web of things to prepare, upskill, and enable wellbeing
staff.
Creating a sustainable and gender-balanced workforce
It’s past time for all healthcare entities, whether in government, medical education,
training, or financing, to join together on specific problems and goals, and collaborate to increase
healthcare workplace efficiency in the approach of a fertility rate workforce.
3
Strategies to create a clear vision for internal and external stakeholders
The following phases have been defined to help in the stakeholder analysis process:
•
Evaluate the effect and significance of each stakeholder.
•
Create a model to identify the effect and importance of stakeholders.
•
Make a list of internal and external stakeholders and map them out.
•
Stakeholder connections should be monitored and maintained.
Stakeholders with expertise to create effective work collaborations
Those with a stake in the organization’s performance should be included as essential
stakeholders in strategic planning. This group incorporates workers, associations, clients,
merchants, investors, administrative offices, proprietors, inventory network accomplices, local
area individuals, and other people who depend on as well as administration the association.
Expected outcomes
Medical caretakers with working theater, basic consideration, and infant care skill are
extremely popular right now. Medical clinics are once again introducing concentrated
instructional classes for attendants there. This holds medical caretakers who are searching for a
new position as well as enroll new staff (Howard et al., 2018). It likewise furnishes staff with
chances to propel their vocations. Since these preparation programs are not modest, nursing
pioneers should be ready to legitimize why cash is required. The individual or a company’s
leadership should endorse this choice due to the high cost of temporary staff.
4
Conclusion
Medical facilities have a strong need for health care workers, yet the number of surgeons
graduating from medical schools is restricted. This is partially due to the demanding nature of
health-care work and the scarcity of health-care instructors.
