In 400 words or less, why do you want to become a teacher? *
There are many reasons that has motivated me to become a teacher. After working in the private sector for over a decade and practicing yoga for the last three years.I have come to a realization in my life that money is not always an incentive to stay in a job. What matters in life is a joy to know that my teaching methods will help students in their academics as well in life that’s what feeds my soul. That’s why I want to become a teacher because I want to have an impact on every student life. By delivering high quality instructions to students and prepare them for their future that’s my ultimate goal.
I remember as a student at the University of Texas at Dallas, I have such an amazing teacher that has a lasting in pact in my life and I want to transfer the same experience to my students at the public school. As one of the professors gave me a great advice and I quote “do not limit myself”. There was something that just clicks on my brain by listing those encouraging words from a person who has more knowledge and wisdom than me. Those words mean a lot to me that definitely change my life.
As teachers I will not only have an impact on student life but also in the community where I will teach. It doesn’t really matter where the school is located in low income or high income neighborhood. Because, as a teacher, the first priority is to educate each and everyone in the class room and prepared them for the next chapter in their life. These are the principles that my students will always carrier with them by doing their best in class and overcome any obstacle in life they can achieve their goals in their academics and have a bright future ahead of them. I highly believe, they will definitely create a better community around them.
