Mandatory drug testing for employees
The problem of alcohol and drug abuse is common among laborers in the United States.
Employees abuse drugs before or during their shifts and put their colleagues at risk, such as
injuries or death. Drug abuse impairs the judgment of people; hence people under the influence
could not effectively. There is a need to create mandatory drug testing in work environments to
help to identify employees with substance-abuse issues and come up with strategies that
employers can employ to reduce those issues to increase the productivity of those associated with
drug abuse. Mandatory drug testing will help to create a free drug abuse work environment and
ensure the safety of workers. Organizations will increase productivity as employers will be able
to identify the employees who take drugs and proper measures taken for them (Schilbach, 2019).
