Prepare a PowerPoint presentation on a topic of your choice. The topic must be in Medicine or a Healthcare topic. Something that will catch the attention of the audience and something new and innovative. The topic must be relevant and informational concerning modern times. You will be evaluated on your ability to present the material effectively using PowerPoint, not on your knowledge of the topic. (Of course, your presentation is likely to be more effective if you are knowledgeable about the topic.) You must include proper APA citation for any material you cite from other sources.

1. Your project must consist of a minimum ten (10) slides plus a citations slide. (11)

2. Slide #

– your title slide must include:

· A unique title

· Your name

· The date

· Your instructor’s name

· Course name and number

3. When preparing your slides, select an interesting template of your choice, add your text, and then add appropriate pictures/graphics.

4. Your slides should be brief. It is not necessary to use complete sentences. That is NOT recommended. Provide brief ideas for your audience.

5. Presentation Tips:

· Spark your audiences interest

· Present a startling fact

· Summarize your topic in a purpose statement

· Inform your audience of the main sections of your presentation

· Enjoy yourself-if you can.

· Make your materials interesting and informative

6. No more than three bullet list slides in a row- more than that may result in a reduction of points.

7. You must include a minimum of one animated clip art or a small movie clip.

8. You must include at least photo or piece of clip art.

9. Include one chart (pie chart, bar graph, etc.)

10. Include at least one table.

SOME IMPORTANT RULES TO FOLLOW

1. Your chosen topic must first be submitted to the instructor for approval****Email me the project topic you chose to work on.

2. Do not use a presentation from another course ie Medical Ethics etc.

3. You will need to embed a live video into one of your slides (ie from Youtube-I will send more direction on this later)

4. The Citation/Bibliography/Reference page can be written in APA style from a Microsoft Word document and this be cut and pasted onto your PowerPoint slide.

5. Please DO NOT send this assignment in before you have double checked that all requested items are included in your presentation.
