Auto Café is a mobile cafeteria foodservice provider that will operate on different locations in New York. I have chosen the city because we think it will be an amazing chance to have the vast population of working class and higher education school going students that will be the target customers. The business will run as a foodservice provider to people of all ages and all economic abilities. Our foodservices will include those such as provision of beverages, fast foods, whole meals for lunch and desert, snacks well as other added services of delivery to doorsteps and offices that will also help boost our brand.
Auto Café is mainly aimed at aiding its consumers receive food at their convenience. The foodservice provider intends to ensure that people have the best quality of food at lower prices. Marketing strategies are aimed at ensuring that the food is available to the consumers at very pocket friendly prices. In addition, the highly qualified staff of chefs is in position to ensure that the food is the best quality available. This is going to ensure that we attract customers and retain their loyalty and thus a competitive advantage.
Description of Service
Auto Café is a mobile cafeteria that is projected to be providing a mobile cafeteria service. Different fast foods including fries, buns, cakes and donuts will be sold. Besides that, there will be beverages like sodas, healthy juices and energy drinks. These will be on the menu for breakfast. Lunch will include full course meals, and the same will apply for dinner services. A current research of the marketplace indicates that there are a number of people whose work places and schools are not in the locality of some of the essential food outlets. This auto café intends to reach these areas and provide these essential foods. In addition to providing these services from the auto café, there will be special deliveries being made to offices and workplaces by request of the consumers.
This will include prior ordering of a particular food in advance through a hotline, thereafter, the location will be pinpointed and the desired time of delivery. Thereafter, our dedicated delivery team will be in place to deliver the services in time as preferred. The source of competitive advantage is, with the doorstep delivery that is just a phone call away, we will be able to penetrate the marketplace and reach as large number of people. Also, because the café is mobile, we will be able to provide services and sell food to populations with geographical demand as opposed to competitors who are stationary.
Description of Industry
Auto café falls under the food service industry. Because the service offers to provide food to people on demand, it is in the food service industry. A survey in the country shows that the food service industry is one of the largest and fastest growing industries in the country, producing about $1.46 Trillion in the year 2014 with $731 billion being provided by food service facilities. This shows how profitable this industry is in the country. It however shows that the competition in the industry is most likely to be high. There is a number of automobile cafeterias that are already established and could act as a threat to the business., however, with the right marketing strategies, I am positive that the business will thrive in the industry among its competitors.
Marketing Plan
The food market size is a large one because everyone needs food every day. This just indicates how vas the amount of competition is likely to be. Narrowing it down to mobile cafeterias, most of the cafeterias that offer services of food selling to people is also well established in the country. Most of them are normally by the road sides selling food to the streets. The current trends in the marketplace include product diversification to sell a number of products that will meet the needs of the customers. Some marketing strategies like use of discounts act as a method that attracts new customers and instills loyalty among the existing ones. The target market for auto café is the university and college students. As such, most of the cafeteria will be on localities that have the university students.
Using social media platforms for advertising the cafeteria will work to increase the number of people the advertisement reaches to because this target audience is known to use the media most of the times. Using the cost leadership type of marketing, we will outsource the delivery services of the company. this will work to reduce the overall operational costs and will enable us to reduce the overall prices of the food we sell. As a result, there will be increased sales and thus increase the accounts receivable. This will also act as a source of competitive advantage among our competitors.

The industry is one which will use already a valuable food and ingredients to come up with the finished food product that can be sold. We will have trained Chefs who will prepare the food and ensure that the food that is indicated on the menu is always available on demand. The use of qualified chefs works to ensure that the deliverable is one which gives the customers a value for their money.
Organizational Plan
The organization will have the administrative department with a Chief Operations Officer who ensures smooth running of operations, Marketing and sales department which will consist of personnel who ensure the promotion of the products and services offered by Auto café to all our target customers, a Production department that ensures that the quality of the deliverable foods is up to date with the best quality. The Research and Development department will constantly ensure that the trends of the industry are kept up with to ensure continued relevance and competitive advantage.
Operational plan
The vehicles will each morning be responsible for picking up the chefs and the ingredients from the designated pickup points. Thereafter, they shall be on site and move according to the data on which areas are geographically favorable for business. The delivery of food will be outsourced to third party logistics providers who will be responsible for picking up the food and delivering them. with adequate research, we shall be on the know of the preferences of the consumers and ensure that the food inventory is up to date. The café will operate on a pay on delivery system of delivery and self-service after pay on the onsite cafeterias.
Summary
Auto Café is a business that is intended to provide foodservice services to targeted marketplaces. It will offer foods and beverages for breakfast, lunch and dinner on automobile cafeterias and on delivery systems. Different market analyses have been done on the marketplace and we have come up with the best strategies to ensure that the company retains its competitive advantage and achieve its business goals in the marketplace. With the implementation of all the strategies, it is projected that the business over a year, will be able to produce over 50% return on investment from the accounts receivable.
