In the case of verbal comprehension, verbal measures help with tasks on performance assessment where a verbal response is expected while performance measures require a response that is non-verbal where an action will be seen through object-pointing and object manipulation. In perceptual reasoning, verbal measures focus on formation of concepts non-verbally while performance measures have to do with organizational skills and coordination. In working memory, verbal measures are conducted through ability to be attentive and concentrate while performance measures has to do with enabling mental control or practice of learned material. In processing speed, verbal measures have to do with how well what has been taught can be understood mentally and shared verbally while performance measures show them in practice
