I chose Obesity as my topic. “HERE THE MOST NOTICEABLE SOCIAL DETERMINANT OF HEALTH WAS ‘FOOD AVAILABILITY, THEREFORE I WILL BE WRITING ABOUT OBESITY AS A POSSIBLE HEALTH OUTCOME. WHILE WALKING THROUGH BOTH AREAS I NOTICED THAT THE UPPER EAST HAD A LOT MORE RESTAURANTS THAN THE LOWER EAST SIDE. APART FROM THIS, THE FOOD OPTIONS IN THE LOWER EAST DID NOT LOOK SO HEALTHY, ALL THEY HAD WAS A PIZZA SHOP, A HALAL FOOD TRUCK, AND A DELI. THIS DIFFERS FROM THE UPPER EAST SIDE BECAUSE THERE I WAS ABLE TO SPOT A VARIATION OF HEALTHIER FOODS LIKE ASIAN CUISINES, MEXICAN, AND MORE
