I have seen a few different power theories through the years. When I first started in real estate, I had the privilege to work on a team with a leader who displayed both expert and referent power theories. She led the team with positivity & grace, coupled with her expertise in the field. She was passionate about growing the team and building each one of us up. It was such a wonderful experience to see someone who was so accomplished in her own right, be so willing to share her knowledge and build a team around her vision. It was need driven based on her level of success from what she had accomplished and wanting to build off of it. How she communicated per the power theory advanced the need-driven basis of the business.
