Search articles and the Internet for an example of a well-constructed simulation. Write a 200-word abstract describing the simulation and why it was successful.
The stimulation involved a machine shop that operated two drills, one as the finishing operator and the other as the straightener. The shop receives two different parts where one requires straightening, drilling, and also finishing the sequence. The second type required drilling as well as finishing. The shop is required to determine the routing time of both machines. The stimulation process involved identifying the existing problem, formulation of the problem, gathering, and processing of real data in the system, formulation and development of the model, validation of the model, documentation, and also selection of the best design for practical’s. The shop also developed the experimental conditions to be used in the runs. The final step involved performing the stimulations which were done per the set rules
Various factors led to the success of the stimulation. The first factor is that the organization had selected the right people to handle the project. The people had experienced as well as the skills to carry out the stimulation. The schedule of the project was also flexible. The team in charge was able to identify the problems and work on them on time before they affected the entire system (“2. Systems, models, and simulation). Additionally, before the start of the project, the leaders took the time to educate the team as well as the project tools to avoid misuse and accidents. Proper planning, aligning the required resources, and also getting the right people led to the success of the project.
