RE: Software as a Service (SaaS) and Ease of Use

Two software products I’ve used is OpenShift Container Platform and Rally. The public training and learning provided by Red Hat for Openshift is great, but due to gaurdrails the company puts in place for OCP, it’s not easy to use per the learning. A simple example is in the training, you click a button that says Create Project, but due to company gaurdrails, they remove that button and there is another way to create a project that can become a bottleneck sometimes. Rally has great training and knowledge documents for learning, as well as scrum master or product owner training. Again the problem with using it for the enterprise is that some of the things in the trainings aren’t usuable in the company, due to gaurdrails put in place. For example, you can’t just export or import an excel spreadsheet, there is special permissions to do that. Solutions to these conflicts are for the company to create internal training documentation for the specific gaurdrails they have put in. This would help employees to understand how it works within the company.
